The Kingdom of Bahrain, also known as Bahrain, is an island country consisting of Bahrain Island, located between the Qatar peninsula and the north eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, and some 30 smaller islands. The latest estimate shows that the population of Bahrain amounts to 1,595,046 residing on the total land area of 765.3 square kilometres (295.5 sq mi). Bahrain is a constitutional monarchy headed by the king.
